GIB X-BLOCK™ system is a unique lead-free plasterboard designed for X-ray radiation protection. The lead-free plasterboard contains barium sulphate which forms an effective barrier against X-ray radiation. The specifically formulated jointing compound designed to be used with the GIB X-Block plasterboard contains similar ingredients to the lining board providing a uniformed X-ray radiation barrier once finished.
